Skipper, Randy Smyth brings 5 previous Worrell 1000 victories to 'Team BLOCKADE RUNNER Beach Resort.' With a strong respect for the need to survive and perform during this open ocean event, Randy chose Matt Struble as crew. Matt is the current Inter 20 National Champion which is this year's exclusive Worrell 1000 Catamaran.

With 26 pre registered entries, this is shaping up to be the largest and most competitive Worrell 1000 on record. Mike Worrell's decision to limit all boats to the one design Inter 20 Catamaran will dramatically level the playing field compared to more open formats in years past.
Randy and Matt are anticipating a hard fought and very competitive 1000 miles to Virginia Beach. Their team, in keeping with the Blockade Runner theme, will be distinguished with a bold Black Spinnaker sporting the Blockade Runner logo in neon Green. Their Mainsail will be easily visible with matching Neon Green Blockade Runner graphics.
